RESPIN by Vilarrasa was recently born as a result of the experience acquired over the years in projects of circular solutions for our clients.
Starting point
One of the first projects carried out in the field of circularity was initiated a few years ago with an upholstery manufacturer, which had the objective of not generating any waste with its activity. One of the most voluminous textile waste for them was the selvedges generated in the weaving process. Reusing them was our goal.
Today, they and we can be proud that we have stabilised a technically feasible solution, whereby we use these sorted selvedges for the production of new yarns and new fabrics. We have achieved a fully circular process!
