More than 50 years acting in a sustainable
way means that at S.Vilarrasa we have the habit of being sustainable.
- We consume 55% less water than in virgin cotton yarn manufacturing.
- We emit 35% less greenhouse gases and CO2 than in virgin cotton yarn manufacturing.
- The use of recovered cotton contributes to the reduction of insecticide and pesticide emissions. Virgin cotton crops represent 16% of the insecticides used in the world and 7% of the pesticides.
- We do not use dyes in the elaboration of our threads.
- We contribute to the reduction in textile waste.
