We continuously carry out supervision of all processes. We select the best raw material for our own shredding process, to serve the customer with the optimal quality recycled yarn.

More than 50 years acting in a sustainable
way means that at S.Vilarrasa we have the habit of being sustainable.

We consume 55% less water than in virgin cotton yarn manufacturing.
We emit 35% less greenhouse gases and CO2 than in virgin cotton yarn manufacturing.
The use of recovered cotton contributes to the reduction of insecticide and pesticide emissions. Virgin cotton crops represent 16% of the insecticides used in the world and 7% of the pesticides.
We do not use dyes in the elaboration of our threads.
We contribute to the reduction in textile waste.

We are a family company dedicated since its origins in 1957 to the manufacture of yarn, although there is documentation of industrial activity since 1853.

We currently have 4 production centers, located in the province of Girona.

We design the colors according to the needs of our clients.

Post-consumer textile waste represents around 95% of the total textile waste generated worldwide. In Spain it is estimated that more than 1000 Ton / year of textile waste are discarded annually.
